Team Dizzy and Team Dizzy Too, Captained by Marie Morrell (r) and Denise Lorden Lundin together raised over $5,300 for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life held recently at Warwick RI’s Tollgate High School Complex.
The amount greatly exceeded their goal, and if you are interested in donating there is still time. Visit Team Dizzy’s page at the American Cancer Society’s website, http://www.relayforlife.org/warwickri.
Congratulations Wave FCU 2010
Scholarship winners! Photo Caption: Paul Archambault, Wave Federal Credit Union President and CEO is shown with five of Wave’s 2010 Scholarship Winners from left to right: Julianne Plasski, C.J. Beneduce, Meghan McMullen, Rebecca Dinerman and Jesse Iacono. Not shown: Helen Smith. We received applications from many qualified students. The selection process considers financial need, grades, a personal essay and extracurricular/community service activities. A four-person panel reviewed each application separately and all scores were then tallied. Wave FCU gave awards to the top six applicants. Each winning student received a cash award for college expenses for the 2010-2011 school year at a presentation on June 3rd in our Greenwich Ave lobby. Our top three winners were submitted to the Credit Union Association of RI Scholarship Program. Wave Presents Home Buyer Expo Attendees from around the state took part in Wave’s Home Buyer Expo held recently at the Credit Union’s headquarters. Attendees took in presentations from noted experts on a variety of topics, took home literature from the self-help tables and also had a chance search MLS listings and check their credit. If you are looking to buy a home and would like an information package from the Expo, please call Deb Votta at (401) 562-1291 or dvotta@wavefcu.org.
Another great night at the dunk!
It was practically standing room only for Wave’s fifth “Game Night” at the now completely renovated Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence. Holiday Giving
Thanks Santa

Reaching Out
As part of our Community Outreach program, Jane Porter, Senior Member Services Representative, has been at the Pilgrim Senior Center (Warwick, RI) answering questions about direct deposit during the Senior Center’s tax assistance days. Direct deposit of pay, Social Security, pension, tax refund and other checks is safe, convenient and eliminates the risk of stolen checks or forged signatures. If you’d like to set up a direct deposit account, stop in at any Wave Office. Looking Sharp
Wave was proud to be a 2009 sponsor of a Warwick Police Athletic League Babe Ruth Junior team. When the 2010 teams take to the field, Wave will again be sponsoring a team. Wave participates in Hasbro Banking Days Each year Wave participates in Hasbro Inc’s two-day Banking Services program. It’s a wonderful way to say hello to old friends and current members and to reinforce a relationship with Hasbro, which goes back 55-years. Our recently rejuvenated Benefit Street, Pawtucket office is the site of the former Hasbro Employees Federal Credit Union with whom we merged in 2003.
Our always cheery Chris Moore, Member Services Representative, at Hasbro Inc’s Banking Days.

Shown with some of the donated supplies are: Left front DDA Administrator Pat Swanson; left rear Paul Archambault, President & CEO; right front Assistant Vice President, Lending Marie Morrell and behind her Loan Officer Lynn Greene. We’re gearing up for the 2009 holiday food drive. Wave Presents Identity Theft Workshop at Warwick Pilgrim Senior Center As part of a 3-part “Out from Under” series celebrating Senior Center Month at the Pilgrim Senior Center, Warwick, Wave recently presented a comprehensive Identity Theft Workshop. It offered valuable tips as well as a folder with helpful forms, brochures and checklists. The workshop drew quite the crowd of interested Senior Center members and guests.
Thanks for helping the Business Community Food Drive
Your generous support with canned and non-perishable foods during “Investing in Rhode Island” will help those at risk of hunger.
This school year a number of Wave employees are serving as adult role models and be paired with deserving students in the Warwick school system. The mentoring program helps kids in need achieve their hopes and dreams. We’re proud of our committed employees and delighted to be partnering with this most deserving program. If you would like to become a mentor, visit www.mentorRI.org. Proud participant in the Children’s Miracle Network
